Carlos Andrade
Carlos Andrade is a multidisciplinary artist based in Miami Shores, working across sculpture, painting, ceramics, and mixed media. His practice explores themes of displacement, nostalgia, and human connection, often through the transformation of found objects into works that are both visually striking and conceptually layered.
Originally from Venezuela, Andrade began his artistic journey by repurposing everyday materials, giving them new meaning through form, color, and composition. His work moves between geometry and playfulness, combining volume, contrasting colors, and a sense of visual lightness to create pieces that invite reflection and curiosity.
Drawing inspiration from artists such as Duchamp, Matisse, and Magritte, his work challenges conventional thinking while engaging viewers on both an emotional and intellectual level.
As the founder of CLAUG, Andrade has created a space dedicated to creativity, dialogue, and community, where his work continues to evolve alongside a growing network of artists and collaborators.
