Welcome to CLAUG ART, an art studio website showcasing my latest work of art. Here, you can explore a collection of my creative pieces and learn more about the inspiration behind each creation. I believe that art is a powerful form of expression, and I aim to evoke emotions and inspire others through my work.

Carlos Andrade is a versatile multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary artist whose creative vision knows no bounds. Carlos is a master of conceptual art, ceramics, painting, and photography — constantly exploring new materials and blending traditional techniques with unexpected elements to achieve transformation and visual impact. His work delves into themes of displacement, nostalgia, and socio-political issues, reflecting a deep commitment to creating art that resonates with viewers emotionally and intellectually.

Carlos's artistic journey began in Venezuela, where he discovered the power of repurposing found objects to give them new meaning and intention. A graduate of the Rafael Belloso Chacin School of Mass Communication, Carlos obtained his Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, but soon realized he needed to come back to his true passion: art. Through his sculptures, paintings, and ceramics, Carlos communicates his emotions, observations, and discoveries about the human experience and the world around him — challenging societal norms and delving into the complexities of human relationships. He focuses on the dynamics of distance and intimacy, emotions and connections, and the interplay between complexity and delicacy.

By incorporating volume and geometric forms, contrasting colors, and visual lightness into his creations, Carlos highlights his unique perspectives and encourages viewers to question conventional thinking. Inspired by artists including Marcel Duchamp and his ready-made movement, Matisse, Julio Le Parc, Magritte, tracey emin, ugo rondinone and Dalí — to name a few of his favorites — Carlos's art seeks to provoke thought, spark conversation, and evoke emotions in those who engage with his profound and unique work.

Always experimenting and exploring, Carlos is also interested in glass work, kinetic art, and textiles. He just loves art. Carlos and his husband, Christian have been married for eleven years and together, are proud pup parents to a pair of maltese's, Matisse and Monet, and Rothko, their pomeranian. Carlos proudly calls Miami Shores home, where he draws his inspiration and puts to work his artistic passion in his home studio and houses his NOMADE collection of metal and nylon sculptures, along with a number of original pieces waiting to be debuted.
