Salomon Khammi
Salomon Khammi is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, drawing, glass, and wood sculpture. Originally trained as an architect, he earned his degree in Architecture before continuing his studies in Design at the Polytechnic Institute of Milan, Italy. His diverse educational background has informed a visual language that bridges structure, abstraction, and material exploration.
Throughout his life, Khammi has drawn inspiration from architecture, urban environments, and the act of observation. From an early age, sketching buildings and cityscapes became an essential part of his creative process. This enduring fascination with form, space, and memory continues to influence his artistic vision.
After living in Miami Beach and later spending time in Philadelphia, Khammi deepened his commitment to drawing and painting, using his surroundings as a source of reflection and artistic inquiry. His journey eventually led him to Toronto, Canada, where he expanded his practice and pursued advanced studies in encaustic painting, developing a distinctive approach to texture, layering, and surface.
In Toronto, Khammi exhibited extensively in galleries and art exhibitions, gaining recognition for his evolving body of work. He has also participated in international art fairs and exhibitions through Spence Gallery, which represents his work. These experiences have helped establish his presence within both Canadian and international contemporary art communities.
Today, based in Miami Shores, Florida, Salomon Khammi continues to develop a body of work that explores the intersection of geometry, memory, urban experience, and abstraction, creating visual narratives that invite personal interpretation and engagement.
