Quiet Luxury, Creative Energy
CLAUG Creative Studio Showcases Miami Shores’ New Identity
With Exclusive Magazine Debut
Miami Shores, FL — As Miami prepares for the cultural surge of Miami Art Week and Art Basel, a quieter but unmistakable shift is taking place just a few miles north. Miami Shores, long admired for its tree-lined streets and village charm, is rapidly transforming into a refined creative enclave. The neighborhood’s 2nd Avenue corridor, once an overlooked stretch, is now flourishing with independent cafés, concept boutiques, design studios, and art-forward businesses. Collectively, they are shaping what many are calling Miami’s Upper East Side Creative Corridor.
This new identity reflects a demographic migration toward the area: designers, architects, young professionals, artists, and collectors who are choosing Miami Shores for its sophistication, walkability, and sense of community. In a city known for spectacle, the neighborhood is becoming the home of quiet luxury, a place where creativity is experienced in intimate, intentional spaces.
At the forefront of this cultural rise is CLAUG, a contemporary studio and creative space founded by artist and designer Carlos Andrade. Since opening its doors, CLAUG has quickly become a gathering point for Miami Shores’ evolving cultural scene. Its inaugural exhibition earlier this month drew the Mayor, commissioners, and local cultural leaders, an early sign of the studio’s impact and resonance within the community.

Now, during Miami’s most culturally intense week, CLAUG is preparing to unveil its next major moment:
Exclusive Prelaunch of
Upper East Side Living
Miami Magazine
Friday, December 5th, 7–9 PM
CLAUG Creative Studio | 9307 NE 2nd Ave, Miami Shores, FL. 33138
RSVP required (capacity limited): milena@claug.art
The prelaunch marks the first-ever public reveal of Upper East Side Living Miami, a new magazine dedicated to exploring and defining the aesthetic, lifestyle, and creative pulse of Miami’s Upper East Side. The publication highlights the district’s architecture, design sensibilities, growing creative economy, and the people shaping its identity.
Rather than hosting a traditional large-scale reveal in a crowded Miami Beach venue, the magazine’s founders chose CLAUG—a decision rooted in intention.
“CLAUG represents exactly what the Upper East Side has become: considered, creative, and quietly influential,” says the editorial team behind Upper East Side Living Miami.
“The neighborhood deserves a publication that speaks to its emerging identity, and this preview is our first step in inviting the community into that conversation.”
As Miami Art Week brings global crowds and high-energy programming, Miami Shores is offering something different: intimacy, elevated taste, and genuine connection.
Resident artist and founder Carlos Andrade, who has witnessed the neighborhood’s evolution firsthand, frames the timing strategically:
“While Art Basel brings the crowds, Miami Shores brings the collectors who seek intimacy, sophistication, and conversation,” says Andrade.
“Hosting this prelaunch now positions the Upper East Side not as an afterthought, but as a cultural force with its own voice.”

For attendees, the event offers more than a magazine preview. It is an immersion into the neighborhood’s new identity, a blend of artistry, craftsmanship, slow living, and high design that has begun to define Miami Shores.
By bringing together creatives, local leaders, collectors, and residents under one roof, CLAUG continues its mission to cultivate a space where ideas are born, community is strengthened, and the future of the Upper East Side takes shape.
